Wooden statue of Ka-Aper. Also known as Sheikh el Balad or village head-man - a name given to him by the workers who cleared his tomb because he resembled the head of their village. The edges of the eye-lids are copper and the eyes are inlaid with alabaster and rock-crystal.  the feet and stick are modern restorations which the patch on his cheek date from ancient times.
